Summer and Ryan

Beautiful Botanical Garden / Music Box Supper Club Wedding

Summer and Ryan had a beautiful, sunny day for their wedding. Their ceremony was in the Sunken Garden at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. It’s an open space that’s surrounded on three sides by lush greenery and seasonal flowers. As scenic as the ceremony location was, we were happy to find some shade for formal and wedding party photos, because it was HOT! But once we got under the canopy of the trees, it was much more comfortable. We took photos around the garden for about 45 minutes before we headed over to Music Box Supper Club, which is one of my favorite spots in Cleveland to work. The West Bank of the Flats has so much to offer for photography, including the riverfront, great views of the Cleveland skyline, colorful bridges and unique architecture.

Music Box Supper Club has an awesome view of Cleveland and the East Bank from the back deck. We took some wedding party photos there. Summer, Ryan and I headed to the Center Street Bridge for some additional skyline shots.

One of the cool things about Music Box Supper Club are the garage doors that open up to the deck. The party starts inside on the dancefloor, and extends out to the river. There is also a great sunset view from the deck. Of course, we had to take a little stroll to the end of the deck and get a few shots when the sun was going down.

I had a great time with Summer and Ryan. It was obvious they really prioritized photography because they had plenty of time set aside to do multiple locations, despite the heat. It was also great to work with DJ Stray from All About You Entertainment. Likewise, I would like to mention KB Confections, who created an amazing cake, and The Flower Pedal Florist, who did a truly incredible job.
